二、自然地理

Fredericia municipality is a municipality on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south-central Denmark. It belongs to Region of Southern Denmark.

Neighboring municipalities are Vejle to the north, Kolding to the west, and Middelfart to the east, albeit separated from the municipality by the waters of the Lillebælt, the strait, that separates the Jutland mainland from the island of Funen in this area, where the two lie very close to each other, often less than 1.5 km apart. Snævringen is an extension of the Kattegat, and begins near the cities of Fredericia and Middelfart.

Fredericia is a small municipality, but the municipality still has a rich and very varied nature. Most of the protected nature lies in the Elbodalen valley and its surroundings. Trelde Næs, Studsdal cove and Erritsø bog also contain valuable natural areas.

There are approx. 55 km of public watercourses (open and piped) in Fredericia Municipality. There are also an unknown number of private streams. Trenches and sinks are also referred to as streams.

Most of the dykes in the municipality of Fredericia are land dips. The poets tell the story and they create variety and depth in the landscape. They also act as green pathways for animals and plants in the farmland. More than 300 species of wild plants grow on dikes in fences and fences. Also many animals are attached to the dikes, e.g. steel worms, viper, lizards and amphibians. Protected dikes must not be removed or damaged. It is permissible to prune or fell trees on a dike, but not to dig up the roots.

The municipality's main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Fredericia. Fredericia is a town located in Fredericia municipality in the eastern part of the Jutland peninsula in Denmark, in a sub-region known locally as Trekanten, or The Triangle. It was founded in 1650 by Frederick III, after whom it was named.

Transport

The city is one of Denmark's largest traffic hubs, and is home to the army's Signals Regiment (Telegrafregimentet), which is located at Ryes Barracks (Ryes Kaserne) and Bülows Barracks (Bülows Kaserne).

Fredericia is located right in the transportation heart of Denmark with freeways and railways connecting here. This is why Fredericia Train Station is one the largest and busiest in the country. The daily number of departures from Fredericia matches that of Aarhus H (the second largest city in Denmark).

Although part of the industrial companies at the harbour have been shut down, Fredericia Harbour is still one’s of Denmark’s biggest harbours. In fact, in terms of cargo handling it is the biggest.

Cruise ships are making their way to Fredericia too. Through the past few years, more and more cruise operators have opted for Fredericia as a cruise destination. The close proximity to a wealth of great attractions is of course, one of the big selling points. But the cruise lines are also choosing Fredericia because of the historical sights and because here, they can drop anchor just a few hundred metres from the city centre.

三、经济发展和规模

Today, Fredericia has 1.4 km of pedestrian shopping streets and over 120 shops and restaurants in the city centre.

The financial results for 2019 show a total shots of $ 117.9 million; DKK and is significantly better than the expected result in the corrected budget incl. funds transferred from 2018. This year's results show that there is pressure on a number of the municipal service areas, transfer-expenses and employment subsidies, as well as that on the construction side is invested more in growth and welfare than originally budgeted.

The 2019 accounts show a significant surplus that is significantly better than projected in the budget. This is satisfactory, but we are also aware that the improved accounting result for a good part of the way stems from deferred construction projects, which we have not been able to complete during the year. In the municipality's large welfare areas, the year has been characterized by a great deal of spending pressure, which we will politically focus on in the coming years.

To fund care and care for the growing number of elderly and citizens with special needs, the City Council has made a historic welfare boost in Budget 2020. It will secure fair budgets in the future so that our welfare level can be maintained despite the demographic challenges.

2019 must also be remembered as the year in which we jointly created solid results for the benefit of Fredericia. Significant investors entered the scene, while many new companies chose to settle in the fortress town.

It requires solid construction investment to grow, and due to a responsible economic policy, the City Council in 2019 created room for a historically high level of investment in, among other things, infrastructure and healthcare home.

四、产业特点/重点项目

Fredericia is part of the Triangle area, which is one of Denmark's major growth engines.

The Triangle area is a collaboration between 7 municipalities, which forms a metropolis full of creativity and space for family and career.

The interaction between settlement, workplaces and educational opportunities should make it attractive for businesses and labor to settle in the Triangle area.

Infrastructure has an important role to play in securing the Triangle area as an open, green metropolis, but each with its own local character. Citizens live in one city, work in another city, educate themselves in a third city, shop in a fourth city, go to the movies and theater in a fifth city and so on. Across municipal boundaries and within municipal boundaries, we develop an attractive area for residents and newcomers with the best opportunities for an elegant balance between family, leisure and career.

Tourism creates jobs, growth and development. The City Council focuses on adventure and cruise tourism with the Lillebælt Nature Park, the Madsby Park and Bridge-Walking as important attractions as well as the 6 July Days as a historical highlight.

The Triangle area, Fredericia Harbor, Denmark C and the train and road network give the municipality a clear position of strength in relation to location and infrastructure. Fredericia needs to be further integrated into the timetable's hourly model with a new super train station for the benefit of the entire region.

The City Council will work together with the industry partners to develop our strength and focus on new jobs in transport, logistics, technology and production.

Fredericia develops many talents that we would like to retain. The City Council, in cooperation with the business community, wants to create a talent college where the talents in business, culture and sport are brought together in a strong and creative elite environment.

Fredericia is home to wide range of large corporations. The central location in the country, makes it business hotspot. Some of the corporations include The Danish Military, Ørsted Energy, Shell, Carlsberg, DSB (Danish National Rails), PostNord and Arla. One of Denmark’s largest harbour operators ADP is also located in Fredericia and most recently Google has purchased a large plot by Fredericia’s business district DanmarkC.

六、历史文化

The municipality was created as the result of the kommunalreform ("Municipal Reform") in 1970. Fredericia municipality was not merged with other municipalities in the 2007 nationwide Kommunalreformen ("Municipal Reform"). Before 2007, the municipality was surrounded by the municipalities of Børkop to the north, Kolding to the west, and Middelfart to the east and belonged to Vejle County.

The city of Fredericia was founded in 1650 by Frederik III, after whom it was named. Fredericia was almost selected as the Danish capital, due to its central location and large port; but the costs from building the necessary government buildings and building a palace for the royal family, grew too big so the plans were scrapped and Copenhagen remained the capital.

After the devastation caused by the Thirty Years' War in a largely unfortified Jutland, King Christian IV realized the necessity of building a strong fortress in Jutland, and decided that this project could be combined with his plans for building a large town in Jutland.

A fortified encampment was built on a point of land called Lyngs Odde, near the current location of Fredericia, with a rampart stretching to either side of the point, thus protecting the encampment from attacks. However, the fortifications were not perfect, and when Swedish Field Marshal Lennart Torstenson invaded Jutland, he was able to break through the ramparts. It was Frederick III who was finally able to complete the plans for the fortification, also adding a flank fortification on nearby Bers Odde as suggested by Danish Imperial Marshal Anders Bille.

On 15 December 1650, the King signed the document giving the town its first privileges, and work on the new fortifications could begin. In 1651, the town was named Frederiksodde (Frederick's Point) after the king, and on 22 April 16, it was given the new Latinized name of Fredericia.

Every 6 July, the town of Fredericia holds a festival to commemorate the 1849 Battle of Fredericia, fought during the First War of Schleswig, in which Danish troops won a victory over the Schleswig-Holstein rebels who were laying siege to the town. Fredericia's landmark, Landsoldaten, was unveiled on 6 July 1858.

The municipality is the furthest ahead with climate protection in Denmark, and the goal is for Fredericia Municipality as a company to be CO2 neutral in 2030.

Fredericia Theater is unique. Together with the Danish Academy of Music it forms the framework for a unique Danish success. The City Council, in collaboration with the business community, will create the necessary foundation so that we can expand our European leadership position in the musical field.

The association life and cultural institutions in Fredericia have proud traditions and are the foundation of the breadth of Fredericia's cultural and sports life. The City Council wants to support and develop the area further for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone.
