二、自然地理

1.地理条件

Strand is located on the mainland of Norway, on the south side of the vast Boknafjorden. The small islands of Idse and Idsal are located in the southwest part of Strand, between the Høgsfjorden and Idsefjorden. The small islands of Heng and Sør-Hidle lie in the large fjord between Strand and Stavanger. The lakes Tysdalsvatnet, Bjørheimsvatnet, and Vostervatnet are all located in Strand. The municipality of Hjelmeland lies to the north and east and Sandnes is to the south. The archipelago containing the islands of Stavanger Municipality lie to the northwest.

Loose material beaches are created by material from land and sea being worn down and collected along the water's edge. The beach material is made by erosion on land and by the sea corroding rocks in and by the water. Since then, waves and wind move around the material so that the beach is constantly changing.

2.交通情况

Barely 20 minutes from the center of Stavanger, at the other end of the world's longest underwater tunnel, is a charming, lush and history-heavy municipality with plenty to report. If you come from the south, we recommend the ferry connection Lauvvik-Oanes, and Rv. 13 Ryfylke National Tourist Route, which starts at Oanes.

Strand municipality is 215 km² in total area and has about 11,400 inhabitants, most of whom live in the towns Jørpeland and Tau. Strand is a coastal municipality with many beautiful accesses to the sea, at the same time as the municipality also has beautiful nature and mountain areas with many hiking trails such as Jørpelandsheiene and Holtaheia. Reinarknuten, Kjortåsen, Førlandsåsen and Moslifjellet are also popular hiking destinations.

六、历史文化

1.历史

The parish of Strand was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). In 1865, the large district of Høgsfjord (population: 3,203) was separated from Strand to form a new municipality, leaving a much smaller Strand municipality. This left Strand with 2,228 residents. On 1 January 1965, the Sørskår-Sundgardene area (population: 121) was transferred from the neighboring municipality of Årdal to Strand. On 1 January 2020, the northwestern part of Forsand municipality was transferred to Strand (while the rest of Forsand was merged with Sandnes).

The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old Strand farm (Old Norse: Strönd), since the first Strand Church was built there. The name is identical with the word strönd which means "strand" or "beach". The coat of arms was granted on 25 May 1973. The arms show three red water wheels on a gray background. The wheels are a symbol for the hydropower, which has been of importance to the municipality, first (since 1850) by using watermills, and now using modern hydro-electric plants.

 2. 文化体育

There are several festivals in Strand, including Ryfylke Ungdomsfestival (Ryfylke Youth Festival), Strandadagane (Strand Days) and Melting Pot (art seminar, mostly making decorative art out of scrap-iron). The annual race between Jørpeland and Tau, Strandamila, is an event which attracts hundreds of people. The race is along the highway, either by bike or on foot. Strand also has many sports facilities. There are a lot of football pitches spread around the municipality, as well as local fitness centers. Tau also has two tennis courts, a beach-volleyball field, and a basketball court, as well as Ryfylkehallen, the largest indoor football arena in the county of Rogaland.

Strand experienced a strong influx of newcomers from Stavanger and Jæren starting in the late 1970s. The original social fabric was divided into factory workers at the iron mill, farmers, and the strong Lutheran tradition. The divides were in many ways exclusive, and only limited movement between the social groups was seen. In later years these divides have become significantly weaker.

It is common to go to beaches in the summer to swim, sunbathe or go for a walk on a swimming beach. In Norway there are beautiful beaches both in the south and north (for example on Ramberg in Lofoten, Norway), but in the north the sea is so cool that swimming is less common. While Norwegian beaches are usually untouched by the way, popular beaches in other countries can be very developed; e.g. Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro.

It is common to set up stalls where food and drinks are sold, beach chairs are rented out or beach huts where you can change. In some places, amusement parks are set up on the beach, while other beaches are closed to the public so that only those who own the beach or guests at a special beach hotel have access.

In Strand we have a large selection of leisure activities for children, young people and adults, with almost 130 teams and organizations that you can join. In addition, we have proximity to the sea and mountains with many different hiking trails and opportunities for unorganized outdoor activities.

There are two sports halls in Strand, Aktivitetshuset on Tau and Strandahallen on Jørpeland. In the autumn of 2019, the Superparken on Tau will open with a new sports hall. On Tau is also Ryfylkehallen, an indoor football hall that makes it possible to conduct football training all year round. We have active sports teams both on Fiskå, Tau and Jørpeland and you can do various activities such as trial, swimming, drill, gymnastics, handball, football etc.

In the municipality's scenic surrounding areas there are marked forests / hiking trails both by the fjord and in the mountains. In recent years, the municipality has facilitated trips in the surrounding areas with the preparation of hiking trails with a universal design around Krossvatnet on Tau and a bridge and hiking trail around Jørpelandsholmen.

Every year, Norwegian People's Aid, Strand and Forsand, arrange "10 on a trip" with new marked trips. Strand and Forsand Turlag also facilitate trips in the woods and fields, and arrange joint trips for both adults and families. Barnas Turlag has 6 group trips each year. In Strand municipality you will find active scout groups for children, and hiking groups for adults and pensioners.
